Designing a business you’re stoked about starts here—welcome to The Monday Muse, your weekly guide to business, branding, and creative strategy. 🤸🏼♀️
Sometimes the most profound business advice comes from a 6-year-old who hasn’t learned the art of overthinking.
Last week, I was working from South Carolina, when my 6-year-old nephew peered over my shoulder as I was meticulously revising some writing and asked, “What are you doing?” I explained I was rereading to ensure everything made sense.
His response? A blunt, “It already makes sense, cmon.” (Mic drop from the kindergarten consultant.)
I was schooled by an elementary school philosopher.
It did make sense, and I was subconsciously rereading and rereading because I wanted it to be perfect. It was time to press publish, close my computer, and I knew that. But we—as adults with overdeveloped analytical brains that are basically just anxiety machines—love to complicate things.
How many times have you known exactly what you needed to do, but talked yourself out of it like a professional overthinker?
Press send on that pitch (before your brain creates 57 worst-case scenarios).
Hire the person who’ll free up your creative energy (and save you from brainstorming hell).
Launch the offer that’s been brewing in your mind (no more recipe testing, chef).
Invest in the support that’ll catapult your business forward (because solo entrepreneurship is not a martyrdom contest).
But instead, we hesitate. We second-guess. We create elaborate stories about why now isn’t the right time—stories so creative they should be Netflix original series.
The inner child in us (or in this case, your 6-year-old nephew)—that part unburdened by fear and overthinking—sees things with crystal clarity. They know the truth is often simple:
- If something feels like it will make your life easier, do it.
- If your gut is screaming “this is the next step,” listen.
- If support will help you scale, grab it.
Perfectionism is the enemy of progress.
It’s the voice that keeps you stuck, constantly revising, never launching. That voice that says, “Just one more tweak” or “I’m not quite ready”, slowing down your progress like a dial-up internet connection in 2024.
But here’s the magic: Action creates clarity. Movement generates momentum.
Every successful business person I know has one thing in common: They don’t wait for perfect conditions. They take imperfect, messy, beautiful action.
Your business doesn’t grow by thinking about the thing. It grows by doing the thing.
When you’re operating in your zone of genius—that sweet spot where your natural talents, passion, and skills perfectly align—magic happens. You make more money, not because you’re working harder, but because you’re working in complete alignment. By investing in support that frees you to do what you do best, you’re not just building a business—you’re creating a vehicle for your most powerful self.
Which brings me to why I’m writing this today.
I have two spots left for custom brand and website packages in 2024. These aren’t just design projects—they’re transformation engines and identity upgrades. We’re not just creating a website. We’re crafting a digital home that represents your mission, speaks directly to your ideal clients, and positions you as the obvious choice in your industry.
Imagine a digital presence so aligned with your vision that clients feel connected before they even speak to you. A brand that does the heavy lifting, so you can focus on what you do best.
These spots aren’t just about a new look. They’re about creating a platform that amplifies your message, simplifies your marketing, and helps you take bold action.
Your inner child knows. Your intuition is ready. The only question is: Are you?
Two spots. Current pricing. Unlimited potential.
Stoked to see ya on Monday,
Bri
